Listening

Reading

The texts differ depending on whether the candidate takes the Academic or General Training version of IELTS.

- Includes a variety of texts and question types.
- Evaluates reading comprehension, identifying main ideas, and understanding details.
Writing
The Writing section evaluates the ability to express ideas clearly and effectively in written English.
- Duration: 60 minutes.
- Task 1: Write a report, letter, or describe visual information (depending on the test type).
- Task 2: Write an essay expressing and supporting an opinion or argument.
Speaking
The Speaking section assesses spoken English through a face-to-face interview with an examiner. It includes an introduction, a short talk on a given topic, and a discussion. Candidates are evaluated on fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammatical accuracy.
